On December 4, 2024, the 10-day training program for students and teachers from the Sino-Nepal Silk Road Institute of Electric Power concluded successfully. During the closing ceremony, President Liu Quanxi presented completion certificates to all participating students.

On November 23, a delegation of 12 students from the Class of 2022 majoring in Power System Automation Technology at the China-Nepal Electric Power Silk Road Institute—our overseas educational institution in Nepal—arrived in China under the leadership of Pandey, President of Kathmandu Institute of Technology, and faculty member Subash. The School of Electrical Engineering carefully planned and implemented the training, delivering seven core practical modules including inspection of high-voltage switchgear and power operations, photovoltaic (PV) power station inspection and fault analysis, distribution line inspection, and smart substation inspection and simulation operations.

This immersive program placed students in a typical professional environment, allowing them to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world technical operations. The training not only enhanced their understanding of theoretical concepts but also strengthened their practical job competencies, laying a solid foundation for future career development.
At the graduation ceremony, a student representative and President Pandey expressed heartfelt appreciation for the professional training support provided to Nepali students. They also voiced a strong interest in further cooperation, with Kathmandu Institute of Technology offering to assist in establishing the Center for Chinese Language and Professional Skills in Nepal.

Following the ceremony, both institutions held a Joint Management Committee Meeting of the China-Nepal Electric Power Silk Road Institute, during which key issues in the current cooperation program were discussed. President Pandey also shared that he had proposed to the new Vice Chairman of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) in Nepal the idea of expanding student exchange and study programs in China.
