On April 28, Yang Xiaokun, Vice President of Zhengzhou Electric Power College(ZEPC), Adhikari, Vice Chairman of Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training in Nepal, and Pandey, Chairman of Kathmandu Institute of Technology, visited Sinopec Heavy Lifting &Transportation Co., Ltd.(SLT) and had extensive and pragmatic exchanges.
Leaders of SLT, Wang Guohua, Wu Yongxu, and Guo Zhong, welcomed the visit of ZEPC and the delegation of Nepalese higher education , and thanked many parties, especially the "Sino-Nepal Silk Road Institute of Electric Power " for their support in human resources during the development of SLT’s international business. Subsequently, the conducted in-depth exchanges on issues such as human resources development, technical education, vocational training, international employment, and school-enterprise cooperation models in Nepal.
At the meeting, Yang Xiaokun introduced the bilingual teaching course for wind power installers developed in cooperation with SLT, which can be embedded in Nepal’s existing teaching system and supplemented by online Chinese learning to promote Chinese standards, Chinese equipment, Chinese models, and improve the efficiency of human resources development and the application of knowledge; Adhikari said that the Nepalese government will provide policy support to strengthen multi-party cooperation between Chinese and Nepalese vocational institutes and enterprises to jointly promote the progress of technical education and vocational training; Pandey said that promoting " The school-enterprise-school cooperation model introduces the outstanding achievements of China's vocational education, deepens cooperation on "Sino-Nepal Silk Road institute of Electric Power" with ZEPC, and subsequently provides vocational skills talents, including wind power installers, that can meet the needs of enterprises.
In recent years, SLT have increased their recruitment of Nepalese employees. Among them, 15 graduates recruited from the "Sino-Nepal Silk Road Institute of Electric Power" will go to the Saudi Neom wind power project to engage in wind power installation work.
